If you need a truck that can haul gear and provide plenty of towing capacity, but you don't want a full-size model, there may be a 2022 GMC Canyon in your future. The Canyon's smaller size makes it more maneuverable and easier to park than larger models like the GMC Sierra 1500. Buyers at dealerships like the Rexburg GMC dealer won't have to give up capability when buying a midsize truck. Equipped with the available turbodiesel engine, the 2022 Canyon can pull a maximum of 7,700 pounds. Choose the range-topping Denali trim, and you'll enjoy a comfortable ride and amenities that will feel like you're in a luxury vehicle.
According to the Rexburg GMC dealership, the GMC Canyon gets a new Denali Black Edition for 2022. As the name implies, this special edition adds a dark appearance to the Denali, including low-gloss-black 20-inch rims, black assist steps, and gloss-black exhaust tips. The interior features all-weather floor liners.
The GMC Canyon receives outstanding reviews from the automotive press. Motor Trend writes:
"GMC's smaller alternative to the full-size Sierra pickup might actually be a better truck. We've been impressed with the torque-rich diesel variant that not only provides excellent fuel economy but is also relatively quiet. The Canyon is also the only midsize pickup to offer a diesel option, other than its mechanical twin, the Chevrolet Colorado."
Buyers can get the 2022 GMC Canyon extended-cab and crew-cab configurations. Four trim levels are available, listed as Elevation Standard, Elevation, AT4 and Denali. The Elevation Standard and Elevation models outfitted with rear-wheel drive are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine developing 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. The other trims are equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 308 hp and 275 lb-ft, teamed to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
